May Day Market

The 4th Annual May Day Market will be held May 4-6 at the Museum. This Market is a sale of all kinds of donated goods to benefit the Museum. Last year we had fabric, ethnic textiles, notions, stylish vintage clothing, and amazing quilts. We are seeking donations of quilts, fabrics and all things textile! South First Fridays are an eclectic evening of arts and culture in downtown San Jose's SoFA arts district, centered on South First Street. Held on the first Friday of every month, the arts venues on South First Street are all open from 7 until 11pm and offer free admission and a wide variety of live entertainment. It's a lively scene attended by arts-lovers of all ages.

Join us for ArtHouse!

A FREE art and art-making block party on South First Street in downtown San Jose between Williams and Reed Streets that includes art shows, guided gallery tours, artist talks, hands-on art activities, original artworks for sale, improv comedy and more! Presented by Higher Fire Clayspace and Gallery, MACLA/Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, The Stage and Notre Dame High School Improv Comedy Players. Free Parking at Notre Dame High School at 596 South Second Street and the City parking lot underneath Hwy 280 one block south of the ICA.

• Guided Gallery Tours of Mark Adams
• Weaving Demonstrations by master weaver Tricia Goldberg (10am - 12pm)
• Weaving Workshop for adults and children by Fabmo (2pm to 4pm)
