Meet and Make: Victorian Hair Work with Even Howard
Join the Museum in the first Etsy Meet and Make: Fiber Salon to explore the history of Hair Jewelry and create a version of your own. These precious works have honored friendships and family since Shakespeare’s time and came to a height of popularity during the Victorian era. Delicate craftsmanship combined with the intrinsic value of treasured memories come together in these small but intricate works and appealed to the decorative sensibilities of the time. Instructor Even Howard will guide us through the techniques of table woven hair work to create cards or small accessories using floss threads in place of hair. Supplies and instruction are provided with RSVP.

Even Howard is a crochet designer and a life long string enthusiast. She currently creates thread crochet accessories and volunteers as Co-Captain for the San Francisco Bay Area Etsy Team.
