Curious about backstitch, running stitch, chain stitch and those textured, fancy-looking knots - French knots and bullion knots? Inspired by 18th-century needlework samplers, this workshop explores learning these fun, basic embroidery stitches through starting a stitch-and-repeat design to take home. While practicing your stitches, you’re also creating an art piece drawn in thread. Use one of the modern needlework samplers/artwork on hand designed by the artist featuring endangered plants and their stories, or create a sampler/artwork all your own.
