Ways to Give

Every Museum needs its community’s support to thrive. The San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles relies almost exclusively on your philanthropy. Help us create art experiences that foster inspiration, conversation, and exploration. Your tax-deductible gift provides general operating support for exhibitions, events, and education programs.

Please consider making gifts of cash, stock, or property, and including us in your estate planning too. For questions, please contact Museum Director Kris Jensen at kris@sj-mqt.org.

RECOMMEND A GRANT FROM YOUR DONOR-ADVISED FUND

All donations are 100% tax-deductible. The Museum’s tax ID is 77-0123939.

DONATE WITH STOCK

Donating securities is the most tax efficient way to give. You can avoid capital gains tax in addition to benefiting from the charitable tax deduction. Please contact Museum Director Kris Jensen with the stock name and number of shares for tracking purposes.

SET UP A MONTHLY DONATION

Monthly donations are easy to set up and create a recurring revenue stream for our Museum. Donors tend to make a larger annual donation when they break up their payments across 12 months.

JUNE HAMILTON LEGACY CIRCLE

As our donors age, many choose to include us in their wills or estate plans, ensuring their philanthropy continues to make an impact for many years to come. You can leave some or all your estate to the Museum, while saving on taxes. There are many options, and we would be happy to learn more about how to partner with you as you plan ahead.

We are especially grateful to you for a bequest, setting up a life income gift, or some other type of legacy gift. Please contact us Museum Director Kris Jensen at kris@sj-mqt.org to ask any questions or for guidance in setting up your philanthropic legacy.
